Two-Phase Charging Method
- Phase 1: CC —> Constant Current, increasing voltage
- Phase 2: CV —> Constant Voltage, decreasing current
In the first phase, charging occurs at the maximum defined current of the charger. The current remains constant and the voltage slowly increases over time.
When the defined end-of-charge voltage of 14.6 V is reached, the charging process continues in a second phase, where the charging voltage is kept constant by the charger and the current decreases over time.
When the current drops to 5% of the initial charging current, the charging process is completed.
